2006 Smoky Grulla Section A Welsh Stallion

We are very pleased to have ~The Promise Silver Dollar~ as our welsh stallion. He has been tested and verified by UC Davis to be a true grulla with a creme gene. Despite the question of the pure welsh ponies carrying a true dun gene, Silver has been proven to carry 1 copy of the dun gene, and will pass it along to his foals 50% of the time.
We would like to thank UC Davis for including him, along with his dam and grand dam in their research for the dun gene in Welsh Ponies!
Silver is loaded with dun factor and just the right amount of chrome and he is showing signs of sabino too.
He is a pure Section A Welsh. He should mature right around 12.1 hands. He has an amazing disposition, very kind and gentle even around kids.
He is correct, well made and a big pretty mover. He will be started riding & driving as he comes closer to his 3rd birthday in March of 2009.
Silver is truly a special guy and we are looking forward to his foals in the future.
Silver now lives in Ramona, CA. Thanks to Kim, Kim & Kris for giving this boy a great home.
